The new Making Tax Digital for Business (MTDfB) legislation requires businesses over the VAT threshold to submit VAT returns electronically from April 2019.

The next release of CounterAct (2-7C) is being tested at the moment and will be released in time for customers to be compliant with the new legislation.

CounterAct release 2-7C will include a MTDfB Dashboard that, once linked to the HMRC website via a unique authorisation code, will allow companies to submit VAT online direct from CounterAct, track payments/liabilities and submission due dates.

Further details and You Tube video will be made available to customers on release. All CounterAct users receive updates as part of their support contract.

Update: March 2019 - CounterAct is now listed on the HMRC website under software coming soon. As soon as a CounterAct user makes a return via the VAT Dashboard it will move to the available now list.
