Based on the Fylde coast near Blackpool, The Woodys Group have been trading since 1991. Since being taken over by current owners, John & Louise Woodcock in 1993, it has grown into a number of thriving businesses with a fleet of vehicles and staff.
Woodys Group pride themselves on their expertise and service. The group provide bespoke services for joinery and landscaping. They also supply a wide range of agricultural and building supplies as well as animal feeds and bedding.
It’s a thriving family run business, however John and Louise had increasingly found that their manual trading system backed up by an accounts package meant that they were spending longer and longer hours and weekends carrying out administrative duties to keep the business running. John’s experience in the industry made him realise that a proper merchant system would give them a number of benefits including a much more streamlined pricing and invoicing process.
After meetings with Border and discussing the CounterAct system with another user in the local area, John made the decision to invest in CounterAct.
After the initial system installation in September 2017, Woodys began their on-site training programme. They were initially taken through the process of how they wanted their CounterAct system configured as well as the process of entering their products suppliers and customers correctly onto the system.
All the training took place on site with a report being produced after each session with follow up and action points for all. All working to an agreed go lice date at the beginning of 2018 which was achieved.
Woodys are now well into using the system live and are already benefiting from the increased efficiency and saved time that CounterAct gives.
