The 2012 Northern CounterAct User Meeting took place on the 6th November at the Statham Lodge Country House Hotel in Lymm near Warrington in Cheshire.
In the first session of the day, users were taken through the developments in CounterAct that have been added in the last 12 months. (All users receive system updates as part of their support contract.)
There was then a demonstration of CounterAct's new dynamic sales analysis enquiry facilities. This is a powerful tool that allows users to run any combination of analysis report and chart the output. Changes can be made "on the fly" and the charts update automatically.
After coffee, another new CounterAct feature – customer relationship management was demonstrated. This fully integrated facility allows users to easily log, track and manage scheduled customer activity as well as plan and execute marketing campaigns. Border has just added the option to send mass texts from CounterAct in addition to the existing options to send mass mailers, faxes or emails.
Attendees were then given a preview of enhancements currently in development as well as being given the opportunity to put forward their ideas for future system enhancements.
Finally, there was a session to show how configurable CounterAct is which highlighted the various system options that can be set around credit limits, units of price, margin checking and exception reporting and how they can be set depending how the user wants their individual system to function.
The event was very well attended with lots of ideas and interaction from users. The new system features were very well received. A southern user meeting will be held in the spring.
